I am officially obsessed with Alexa's hair..and her outfits. She has started to add a bit more polish to her style lately and I am really loving it- definite style inspiration, and I wouldn't have said that a few months ago.

New Brand Discovery - A.L.C

Shopbop featured label A.L.C's Resort Collection during the week (image above) and I really love the chic items- all of them so wearable that I instantly fell in love with them. 

The amazing thing is you can actually imagine yourself wearing the designs- I know this sounds silly but a lot of the time I fall in love with items that are completely inappropriate for my life (read too expensive or would have to loose 5 kgs or live the life of a international starlet). But A.L.C is so so wearable- very chic and elegant. LOVE.

Colour Me Happy

You know you are getting old when you start seeing fashion trends come around for the second time- and the arrival of coloured denim back on the fashion radar again has well and truly set me in the old category.


I remember coveting a pair of red coloured denims in Dolly Magazine when I was in Year 8 (circa 1991- is fashion a ten year cycle?!), but my Mum refused to buy them for me. So of course now I am adamant that I will get a pair, knowing full well that I will not really wear them for very long before the trend bites the dust again for another ten years. 


So I have been lusting after the J Brand 811 Ankle Jean (above) but I think I have found a good cheaper option the Lily Jean from French Connection that will satisfy my coloured denim craving without out causing too much post purchase dissonance in a few months time. 


Here are some of my red coloured denim inspiration images- hopefully I can carry the jeans through to next Autumn as I can see happening with some of the latest street style shots from north of the equator.

Fabulous Summer Hair Style.....The Sock Bun

When I logged in to Pinterest (If you are on Pintrest follow me) today the picture above popped up on the home page and I was intrigued. I have always wondered how girls create these huge ballerina buns in their hair- and I always presumed that although I have long hair that it was too fine to create such a voluminous style....but there is a little trick and it requires a sock. Weird I know, but I just tried it and it's so easy and looks fabulous.

Aerin Lauder's Amazing Aspen Home

About a  year ago I wrote a list of people that inspire me- a bit corny I know, but sometimes you feel like you are getting a little of track and need to focus....but I digress, the point is that Aerin Lauder is amazing, and I find her inspiring in every sense of the word. So I when I saw the article by Plum Sykes in the current issue of US Vogue (you can read by clicking on the link above)  I had to share the amazing images of her Aspen home- it is an example of the effortless, understated chic that Aerin, in my mind typifies. So elegant and the view from her living room is to die for...

How gorgeous is Arizona Muse on the December issue of Vogue Paris. 


This is the best magazine cover of the month- love the hair, sparkling green eyes and perfect red lip. I am getting bored with the orange red that everyone has been wearing, so this berry shade is the perfect refresh heading towards Christmas.
